Two booked for creating panicky situation at a marriage in Ludhiana

At a marriage function in Nirmal Nagar, Dugri a man and woman has been booked for firing in the air creating a cumbersome situation. As per the information, the resort owner filed a complaint against the accused Cheenu of Thora Village in Patiala and her friend Gurpreet Singh Gill who made the firing for the sake of entertainment.

The banquet owner revealed that he saw the duo coming towards the main gate and then the girl fired three bullets in the sky. The owner said that even after the rules, Gurpreet brought his licensed pistol in the hall and fired without permission which created panicky situation amongst the guests present at the function. After firing, the duo fled the location which angered the owner and he called Dugri Police Station and filed a complaint.

“Both of them were from the groom’s side who now have been charged under sections 336 (the act of endangering life or personal safety of others), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC and sections 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act. Their arrest will help ascertain whether the weapon was licenced.” said the sub-inspector Manjit Singh of Dugri Police Station.
