A 25-year-old man, identified as Paramjeet Singh, was found dead in his apartment today morning. Attacked and stabbed with a knife by his friend, this young man died on the spot. According to the information, Paramjeet Singh, boy from Dhundsa village of Tarn Taran district, was studying in Australia for 5.5 years and was living with his friends in Melbourne. Yesterday night, after a small argument one of his friends Sandeep Singh Walia stabbed him to death and then fled the crime scene.

After finding the body the next morning, the police reported the case and informed his family in India. Devastated by the news, Paramjeet’s father Harjinder Singh informed that they sold their agricultural land to send him overseas but now they do not have any funds to bring his mortal remains back in India. Shocked and broken, his mother Balwinder Kaur said that “We were expecting his visit in six months, but now, we are unable to get his remains.”

Currently, the accused is in hiding and the real reason behind this murder is still unknown. However, the rest of his friends in Australia are trying to raise money so as to repatriate his body to India. They have started an online fundraiser from which $8000 has been collected so far.
