Parents of students of a private school located at Humbran Road today took out a protest rally at the Fountain Chowk against the school for demanding fees and have now decided to file a PIL in the High Court.

The parents have been protesting for the past five days and Monday was fixed for meeting with the principal, but it could not take place.

A parent said even the government has instructed that schools can ask for 70 per cent of the fees, but still school insisted on depositing the fee by May 31.

Rajvir Singh, a parent, said they were protesting for the last five days but nobody has paid heed to them.

“We have a long association with the school and this is how they are treating us in the hour of crisis,” he said.

Another parent said they were left with no other option, but to file a PIL against the school.
