New traffic rules by Police Commissioner of Ludhiana

The commissioner of Police Rakesh Agarwal has issued a new ruling to regulate the traffic in Ludhiana. As per the new rules stated heavy-duty vehicles are not allowed to enter the city from 8 am to 10:30 pm. PC Rakesh Agarwal said that he is amending traffic rules in order to improve the security measures of the city, decrease accidents and bring discipline amongst the citizens.

As per the information, the amendments include:

  1. No entry to heavy-duty vehicles between 8 am and 10:30 pm.
  2. Medium and Light motor vehicles are allowed to commute within 2 pm and 5 pm in the city.
  3. No vehicle is allowed to use stickers like Press, Police, Army, VIP or any other related to government duty.
  4. Covering the face while driving or walking is prohibited in the city.

These measures are taken into account to decrease the chances of terrorism or mishaps in the city. PC Rakesh Agarwal has ordered the authorities to implement the rules within two months. The police are authorised to take strict action against those found violating the rules and regulations.
