MC starts road repairs after residents complain of potholes

The municipal corporation has started repairing road stretches in Gurdev Nagar, Ghumar Mandi, Pokhowal Road and Gill Road. According to the superintending engineer HS Bhullar, some parts of the roads were repaired on Monday. After this work is done, patchwork on the damaged roads of the entire city will be started. This move from municipal corporation comes after regular complaints from the city residents about the risky travelling due to potholes.

Potholes make commuting a challenge, a problem which aggravates during monsoons. In the past few months, the city was brought to a halt several times due to heavy showers, water-logged streets and massive potholes. Roads not only make commuting a problem but also are a major factor for increased road accidents.
