Man commits suicide by jumping in front of train

A man committed suicide by jumping in front of a train, early morning on Monday. The man was 30-year-old and jumped in front of an Amritsar bound superfast train passing through Dhandari Kalan railway station. The body was badly crushed and the police could not identify the body. Moreover, the documents present in his pocket were not enough to ascertain his identity.

The lineman had reported the case to the GRP officials who then came and investigated the accident site. The police party recovered the body and sent it to the mortuary at the Civil hospital of Ludhiana for the next 72 hours. Meanwhile, proceedings under Section 174 of The Code of Criminal Procedure have initiated.
