Infant found in a manhole at Dholewal, Ludhiana

On Tuesday night, a man while returning home found an abandoned infant in a manhole crying. The child was found in a locality of Dholewal when one of the residents heard the boy crying. On finding the baby in a manhole, the locality residents called the police and informed the case. The PCR immediately took the child to the civil hospital.

The locality resident, Amarjeet Singh, who owned a grocery shop near Bhagwan Nagar Chowk registered a case against unidentified accused. He revealed that he was returning home when he heard a child crying after which he raised alarm. Later on, he covered the baby in a towel and called the police. The police have registered the case under Section 317 of the Indian Penal Code however the accused is still out in open. The team is checking CCTV footage to find any evidence.
