In the context of writing the storyline for the biopic of Sahir Ludhianvi, one of the
greatest poets of Bollywood, Jave Akhtar has some important thing to say. During the
conversation about the biopic, he said “Sahir saab and I shared a strong bond, and I
admire him greatly. I have spent a lot of time (with him). If anyone can write a film on
Sahir Ludhianvi, it is only me because I have known him closely by spending quality
time with him. Nobody knows (him) better than me.”
Speculations suggest that the biopic may be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in which
Abhishek Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu may act. Ending his conversation, Akhtar said
“The others who knew Sahir are not in the world anymore, only I can write his biopic.”
