Heroin worth Rs 2.5 crore confiscated; Two arrested

The Special Task Force of Ludhiana nabbed two drug peddlers with 455-gram heroin on Wednesday. As per the information, the accused were carrying drugs worth Rs 2.5 crore who were arrested by the police. Identified as Varinder Thakur (40) who is a resident of Beant Colony in Mundiya Kalan, and Vikram Singh (33) of Jamalpur Colony were caught at a checkpoint in Mundiyan Kalan.

The police also stated that one of the accused Varinder is a hardcore drug peddler and has been caught several times. They also informed that approximately 20 cases against him are going on and he has also served his jail term before for smuggling 600-gram heroin.
